Christmas is just around the corner and there are many people who want to make their home look unique and different. The internet offers so many options when it comes to Christmas decorations, but most people fail to find the 3D Christmas tree decorations that look so realistic. If you’re looking for something different for your Christmas decorations this year, then you should look at 3D Christmas tree decorations.
These types of decorations are very much in demand because they are a lot more affordable than other types of decorations. You can easily make them yourself with a few basic tools and materials which are easily found in your local craft store or online. The easiest way to make a three dimensional Christmas tree craft is to use a card stock to shape the different Christmas trees that you’re going to make. You can then simply glue the card stock onto the foam core that’s already attached to the tree, and then cut the individual Christmas trees out of the foam.
You’ll need to figure out which particular type of Christmas tree you’re going to cut out first. Once you’ve figured that out, then you can move on to the next step. To do this, it’s best if you have a large piece of flat cardboard or an even larger piece of paper so that you can lay out your scene. Start by making a grid from the cardboard, then draw individual triangular shapes onto the grid, being careful to follow the shape of each individual triangle. Make sure to place all of your smaller triangles on one side of the larger one.
Next, you’ll need to trace the outline of each individual triangle onto your cardboard. When you’re done tracing, you’ll need to cut out exactly the same exact shape with the sharpest knife you can find. Use this as your guide to cut your tree into the exact triangle you were tracing. (This may seem difficult, especially if you’re not very good at cutting and drawing.) After you’ve cut your tree in this way, you’ll need to stand back and admire your work.
After you’ve traced your tree shape onto the template, cut out another horizontal line down the center of each of your triangles, and another vertical line along the top of your triangle. Use these two horizontal lines to mark the two spots where you’ll cut your tree branches. (Remember that you’ll need to place the tree branches in such a way that they can lie horizontally.) Now, remove the two marking points, and set aside.
You’ll notice that your tree advent craft isn’t quite complete. This is okay – you can always add more Christmas decorations later on. The next step is to glue each one of your tree limbs onto a long piece of ribbon. Start by gluing the topmost branch to the ribbon, and then gluing all of your other tree limbs down to the ribbon. If you’d like, you could also glue tiny plastic stars onto the ends of your branches to give them a nice shiny appearance.
Once you’re happy with your Christmas star shape, you’ll want to take your two remaining pieces together and glue them into a star shape. Glue them to the ends of your other tree pieces as well. If you want, you can even glue these pieces together to make a nice Christmas wreath! Once you’re happy with your creation, you can then repeat the process for all of your tree limbs.
All in all, this is a really easy craft to make. All you have to do is cut out shapes that look similar to what you’ve already created, and glue them to ribbons. If you make a mistake, you can simply start over and make sure you cut your branches differently than you did before. This will ensure that your tree looks exactly like you want it too!
